The Remote Sensing Electronics research group, continuing the work of the previous Mobile Mapping group is able to keep it's position on the leading edge of mobile mapping technology by using a variety of modern sensor technologies. In addition to laser scanning, inertial navigation and regular cameras, our mobile mapping systems also take advantage of spectral and thermal imaging technologies as well as range cameras. We are also testing mobile mapping applications of the hyperspectral lidar, which is being developed by the Remote sensing of the changing Earth group.
