Some of INSPIRE data products and services published by National Land Survey of Finland (NLS-FI) are about to change. The changes concern INSPIRE Directive compliant view services (WMS) and download services (WFS) providing building address information and building information from the Population Information System maintained by the Digital and Population Data Services Agency. The services will no longer be in use after 30th May 2025.
The National Land Survey has created and maintained these data products and services on behalf of the Digital and Population Data Services Agency. The maintenance of building data is being transferred from the Digital and Population Data Services Agency to the Finnish Environment Institute’s Built environment information system (Ryhti). This means that the obligations imposed by the INSPIRE Directive has transferred from the Digital and Population Data Services Agency to the Finnish Environment Institute (Syke).
Syke will inform about the web addresses of the new replacing services at their web site https://ryhti.syke.fi in the beginning of March. More information about the new services from ryhti@syke.fi.
Changes visible to service users
• The addresses (url) of the services will change.
• The interface standard of download services will change from WFS to OGC API Features.
• The view services (WMS) are also available as map layers in the geoportal Paikkatietoikkuna. The names of the map layers in Paikkatietoikkuna are INSPIRE AD Addresses and INSPIRE BU Buildings (point) and can be found as map layers of the Digital and Population Data Services Agency. In the future they will be found as Syke's map layers. Information about this replacement will be published later on.
• The metadata IDs and addresses (url) describing these data products and services will change in the metadata catalogue Paikkatietohakemisto.
