FGI Research Seminar: Green-Digi-Basin project and the HYDRO-RI-Platform
Teams / Vuorimiehentie 5, Espoo, Auditorium
Join us for the final FGI Research Seminar of the year, where Research Professor Harri Kaartinen will present on the HYDRO-RI Platform and the Green-Digi-Basin project.
The HYDRO-RI-Platform is a research infrastructure of the water sector for boreal and subarctic river and lake environments. It houses a pool of unique instruments for hydrological, hydraulic, morpho-dynamic and water quality measurements, with a variety of autonomous under- and above-water sensor platforms, a mobile field laboratory facility, and a data sharing platform to study essential scientific questions in present and future hydrology.
In the Green-Digi-Basin project these multidisciplinary approaches, novel technologies and smart solutions are used to provide crucial information for sustainable and resilient water resources management.
Professor Harri Kaartinen is a Research Professor in the Department of Remote sensing and Photogrammetry and a member of the Autonomous Mapping and Driving Research Group.
The monthly FGI Research Seminar is a platform, where researchers from FGI and visiting researchers present their findings. The event is open for everyone, and no registration is needed. You can attend the seminar remotely or in the Vuorimiehentie 5 auditorium, which is located at the ground floor. The presentations are given in English.
Welcome to the FGI Research Seminar!
