The sixth Taisto exercise gathers hundreds of organisations from various branches of society to practice in preparation for current threats. The exercise helps to improve leading, handling and communicating digital security. At the same time, it improves the resilience of society in general.
The Digital and Population Services Agency is responsible for running the exercise. The contents of the exercise have been planned in cooperation with the National Bureau of Investigation, The Security Committee, the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman, the Association of Finnish Municipalities and the National Cyber Security Centre. The National Land Survey is participating in the exercise for the fifth time.
Themes: artificial intelligence, phishing and hybrid influence activities
'The Taisto exercise is an important element in emergency planning and a great opportunity to practice how to act during exceptional circumstances in a realistic but secure exercise environment. At the National Land Survey, we think it's really important that exercises of this kind are organised and we're very happy to participate', says the National Land Survey's Chief Information Officer Jani Nissinen.
This year, the Taisto exercise deals with themes related to information security practices, phishing and hybrid influence activities. During the exercise, artificial intelligence and the challenges it brings will also make an appearance.
