Sanna-Kaisa’s career at the NLS began in autumn 2019 when she switched from working as a debt collection inspector at the Finnish Food Authority to the job of an application processor at the NLS. As an application processor, she worked with property transactions. The NLS processes and issues decisions for hundreds of thousands of registration matters every year. As an application processor, one learns a lot about housing and property sales.
After less than two years, Sanna-Kaisa moved on to become an registration specialist. In this position, she got to develop the working methods and operating models of the property registration process. Sanna-Kaisa worked as a team leader in specialist and development teams. As a registration specialist, she took major steps in customer-oriented thinking – customer orientation became an everyday operating model, and it is still at the core of all activities.
‘We act with a big heart for the benefit of our customers. Customer-oriented development is an ongoing process, and we have achieved a lot. All feedback is always welcome,’ says Sanna-Kaisa.
Since the beginning of 2023, Sanna-Kaisa has worked as a specialist in service development. The development is strongly based on customer feedback. In her current role, she has the opportunity to learn new things about communication, which has been a great motivator.
‘I have had the chance to develop as a specialist and communicator. I think that communication is an important part of everyone’s work, and clear and customer-oriented communication makes life easier for both our customers and us professionals.’
The NLS has offered Sanna-Kaisa many opportunities for personal development and learning, and she has actively seized new opportunities. You can build a career that suits you by being proactive and willing to occasionally leave the comfort zone. Alongside her work, she has also started studying for a Master’s degree in business administration. Her previous educational background includes the degree of a Bachelor of Business Administration specialised in law.
‘It is great that the employer also supports and is flexible with regard to studies. At the NLS, I value the culture of open dialogue. Both people and processes can develop in an environment that encourages influencing matters and in which people genuinely want to make a difference,’ says Sanna-Kaisa.
