ESA project titled "Case study on heterogeneous geoid/quasigeoid based on space borne and terrestrial data combination with special consideration of GOCE mission data impact"  is dealing mainly with verification and validation of the GOCE mission gravity models over Chinese and Finnish territory. It is a cooperation between FGI and CASM (Chinese Academy of Surveying and Mapping). In the course of the project it is foreseen to compare GOCE models to terrestrial gravity data as well as to use GOCE models in derivation of altimetry gravity anomalies in Chinese sea. Also computation of one geoid model by usage of GOCE models is foreseen for the Finnish as well as part of Chinese territory.
