TIIMA - Knowledge Base for Climate-friendly Land Use
The goal of the TIIMA project is to produce versatile open, national data products that can be used for example in flood risk management and in climate aware land use planning. With the produced data sets it is possible to e.g. detect flood dependent endangered habitat and increase the nature diversity and carbon sequestration. One goal is to improve surface runoff modelling by detecting flow routes that are not visible in elevation models. The project uses and further develops methods from earlier projects. The TIIMA project is coordinated by the Finnish Environment Institute.
