Research is carried out on the application of automated change detection methods in the updating of the Finnish Land Parcel Identification System (FLPIS). The FLPIS is maintained by the Agency for Rural Affairs. The objective is to develop a method that could be used as an aid in the updating process to recognize parcels that need corrections. Input data for change detection include digital aerial ortho images and laser scanner data.
