Environmental applications of modern-day satellite SAR images (NeoSAR)
The objective of the research is to develop environmental applications for modern-day very-high-resolution satellite SAR images. The Activesensing team has recently contributed to the TerraSAR-X and TanDEM.X scientific AO project by the DLR, who provides us with the satellite data free-of-charge for internal research purposes. Moreover, we have participated in the Radarsat-2 SOAR (Canadian Space Agency) and several ESA AO projects, such as in the ESA-China co-operation program (Dragon-3), where our aim is at developing operative methodologies for wide-area forest resources mapping.
