Operation of the EGNOS RIMS station in Finland

The EGNOS RIMS (Ranging and Integrity Monitoring Station) in Virolahti is one of the monitoring stations of EGNOS. The station tracks the GPS (Global Positioning System) and EGNOS GEO(Geostationary Earth Orbit) satellites and sends the observations in real-time to the EGNOS Mission Control Centre via a dedicated telecommunication link. The objective of this project is to support the operation of the station in cooperation with ESSP (European Satellite Service Provider).
