Transportation Data Acquisition by Means of ICT-derived 3D Modeling

The objective of the project is to prototype a van-based mobile mapping system to capture the 3D models in critical traffic intersections for transporting engineering.

The project consortium includes: Helsinki University of Technology: Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (Coordinator) and Department of Surveying and Finnish Geodetic Institute: Department of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing and Department of Navigation and Positioning

The major responsibility of the department of navigation and positioning is to develop the geo-referencing solution for the mobile mapping system.
